Procedure for review of appeals, complaints


For review appeals, complaints and suggestions, in OS Cert ASU was created an appeal commission.
Appeals, complaints and proposals are review by the OS Appeals Commission no later than one month after its receipt.



The following documents must be submitted
to the Appeals Commission for review of the appeal:

the applicant's appeal
correspondence on a contentious issue between the applicant,
the testing laboratory (center) and the OS
test reports, inspection materials
samples or photographs of products
technical documentation for products (if necessary)

These documents are provided by the OS to the members of the Appeal Commission
no later than two weeks before the meeting of the commission.
The applicant has the right to be heard at a meeting of the commission.
The Appeals Commission considers disputes confidentiality.
Only full members of the commission should be present during the decision-making process



The Appeals Board usually makes one of the following decisions:

  • issue a certificate
  • refuse to issue a certificate
  • suspend the certificate
  • revoke the certificate

The decision is communicated in writing to the applicant and the OS after the meeting.
The costs of the appeal borne by each party.
